Google's Hugo Barra calls it \"the world's highest resolution 7-inch tablet.\"</p>\n<p>The Nexus 7 is slightly thinner than the original, includes a quad-core Snapdragon S4 processor, a 1.2 megapixel front-facing camera and 5-megapixel rear camera. It also features near field communication technology, wireless technology and HDMI output.</p>\n<p>The tablet will support 4G LTE networks, with the one model working on AT&amp;T, T-Mobile or Verizon. It also runs Android 4.3, the latest version of Google's mobile operating software.</p>\n<p>Three versions of the tablet will be available: Wi-Fi only 16GB and 32GB models for $229 and $269 respectively, and the 4G LTE version launching in the coming weeks.</p>\n<p>Watch it here: <a href=\"https://www.usatoday.com/story/shopping/best-streaming-deals-bundles-free-trials/83951337007/?utm_source=usat&amp;utm_medium=content&amp;utm_campaign=spike\">Stream your favorite shows, the biggest blockbusters and more.</a> </p>\n<p>Google's latest foray into hardware arrives as competition in the tablet space continues to heat up, with options such as Apple's iPad, Amazon's Kindle Fire and Samsung's Galaxy Tab series.</p>\n<p>And the consumer appetite for tablets continues to grow. Research firm IDC says shipments of tablets <a href=\"https://www.usatoday.com/story/tech/personal/2013/05/28/idc-tablets-pcs/2365667/\">will outpace PCs by 2015</a>.</p>\n<p>Google also unveiled <a href=\"https://play.google.com/store/devices/details?id=chromecast\">Chromecast</a>, a two-inch long device resembling an USB thumb drive that allows users to easily stream video onto their TVs.</p>\n<p>The device plugs into an HDMI input, and connects to a home network wirelessly. During a demo of Chromecast using YouTube, an user can find a video on their tablet, smartphone or laptop, press the Chromecast button, then stream the video onto their TV.</p>\n<p>The device will be compatible with Apple iOS and Android.
